Field Bus Systems

The SIGMATEK control systems convince with flexibility of communication. Established field bus systems such as CAN or Profibus are supported by SIGMATEK automation components; coupler modules provide contact to the outside world. This results in optimal networking between the participants within the control and case of integration in existing systems.

In addition to field bus systems, standard interfaces are an integral part of the SIGMATEK communication concept: Ethernet and USB provide the ideal connection to “classic” IT.

Along with conventional standards and the Ethernet based VARAN bus, the DIAS bus (Distributed Automation System) designed by SIGMATEK is also used. The bus is ideal for the communication requirements for an efficient control system, on a local level as well as in a decentralized network. Up to date over 2 million DIAS bus connections have been implemented.
